Describe your business? Reachality is in the business of making AI not just accessible but indispensable for businesses. Our products, like our chatbots, aren’t just tools—they’re game changers for companies looking to integrate AI without the technical headaches. We also specialize in custom AI solutions, ensuring each client gets a product built for scale, efficiency, and future-proofing.

Why’d you launch your startup? I launched Reachality because AI isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a force multiplier for businesses. Our mission is to give companies the edge by unlocking the full potential of AI to drive efficiency, scalability, and profit. If you’re not thinking AI, you’re already behind.

What's your why? My "why" stems from living at the intersection of imagination and reality. Growing up, I dreamed about what tech could do, and now I’m in a position to build those dreams. We’re living in a world where the impossible is possible, and I get to be a part of that. But on a personal note—family. Everything I do is for them, ensuring that what I create has real impact. And at my core, I’m a tech nerd who’s still in awe of what’s coming next.

What’s a pivotal point that’s defined you? Moving from Guatemala to the U.S. at nine was a defining shift. It was a real-world lesson in adaptation and opportunity. That change laid the groundwork for everything—ambition, resilience, drive. Becoming a father was another pivotal moment. It’s one thing to be hungry for success, but it’s another to feel that responsibility. Knowing that my actions ripple through to my kids lights a fire in me every single day.

What's your challenge? The biggest challenge is cutting through the noise and fear around AI. The fearmongering about AI being dangerous or insecure stunts real progress. Small business owners are hesitant, and big enterprises are paranoid about data breaches. Our job is to demystify AI by offering straightforward, secure solutions. Education is our battleground.

Share an aspiration? I want to create access to tech for underserved communities, especially kids. I want them to realize that the ceiling doesn’t exist. Partnering with organizations to bring tech into their lives can be the catalyst that changes everything for them.

What do you do for fun? I’m all about recharging, whether it’s playing piano and singing, walking or hiking with Maverick, my 120 pound German Shepard/Husky (AKA my best friend) and running. I also thrive on those moments with close friends where you can be real, but equally value my time alone—it’s in those quiet spaces that I find clarity and focus.

We asked ChatGPT for a list of AI tools working to eliminate or reduce bias in hiring. As a recruiting firm that elevates women and diversity - we are constantly seeking to reduce bias, while accepting, unfortunately, that it’s part of being human.

Have any of you used any of these tools? We’d love your opinion.

1. Pymetrics matches candidates to roles based on their unique traits rather than traditional resume-based criteria.
2. Textio analyzes job postings for biased language that might deter certain groups of candidates, and suggests more inclusive alternatives.
3. HireVue uses AI to analyze candidates' video interviews, focusing on objective factors like word choice, intonation, and facial expressions.
4. Blendoor removes personally identifiable information from candidate profiles to prevent unconscious bias during the selection process.
5. Entelo’s “Unbiased Sourcing Mode” helps recruiters find candidates without considering gender, ethnicity, or other potentially bias-inducing factors.
6. Applied uses anonymous applications and structured interviews to reduce bias.
7. XOR standardizes candidate interactions by asking all applicants the same questions and using consistent evaluation criteria.
8. Greenhouse Inclusion offers tools to create structured interviews, monitor diversity metrics, and reduce unconscious bias in candidate assessments.
9. ClearCompany offers tools like structured interview guides, blind hiring features, and diversity analytics.
10. Eightfold.ai uses deep learning to match candidates to roles based on skills and experience while minimizing reliance on traditional resume-based evaluations.
